Personal Statement

This is an exciting time to be a school counselor! I love helping students see the power and potential of a counselor's role in schools. I love helping students develop a passion for the advocacy, leadership, and counseling skills that define school counselors in the 21st century.

Professional Biography

  • Counselor with Beaverton School Distrit 28 years: 25 at Beaverton HS, 2 at MS, and 1 year as TOSA at Central Office as liason between BSD and Lewis & Clark for special Pathways Cohort
  • Teaching at Lewis & Clark since 2001
  • Active in School Improvement work and Staff Development at building and district level
  • Consultant, the Education Trust Center for Transforming School Counseling
  • Consultant for several Oregon school districts, assisting in developing Districts' Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling Programs
