Initial Administrator License program
Application Timeline
The Graduate Admissions office will confirm via email the receipt and status of your application file. Any outstanding items will be noted.
Applicants will also receive email notification when the application file is complete and ready for faculty review.
Applications for the master's degree and license-only programs will be reviewed by faculty and the Graduate Admissions Committee on a rolling basis. That is, files will be reviewed once all application requirements are met. The Graduate Admissions Committee meets every month of the year except August.
Prerequisite
Applicants must hold a master's degree from a regionally accredited institution or the foreign equivalent and must hold an Oregon teaching or personnel service license and have three years of successful teaching and/or personnel service experience in the public schools or regionally accredited private schools. If an applicant has less than three years experience, Lewis & Clark may, after reviewing the application, request a waiver of the state's Teacher Standards and Practices Commission regarding this requirement. In addition, applicants must successfully complete any two Educational leadership Intitial Administrator courses offered at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling.
