Is the program certified (NEA) so I can go directly to a school setting?
The School Psychology program is approved by the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) which issues licenses to graduates of our program upon completion of degree programs, or completion of licensing requirements under our approved license-only programs. (These license-only programs are for students who have Master’s degrees in this field or related fields like social work, but have not met the requirements for licensing.)
When you hold an Oregon license you are eligible to work in Oregon schools. You are also eligible for licensing in 24 other states through reciprocal agreements among the states. For other states, our graduates are routinely licensed after a review of their preparation
The National Education Association (NEA) is an organization of professionals. It does not issue licenses.
