Apple MacBook Air
The Computer Purchase Program is no longer eligible to sell Apple computers due to changes in Apple Campus Reseller policies. However we are still available to consult with you and offer advice about Apple purchases. Please call us at (503)768-7250 or email at cpp@lclark.edu. To buy an Apple computer with your educational discount, please go to the Apple Education Store or take your Lewis & Clark ID to an Apple Store, such as the one in the Pioneer Place Mall. Feel free to browse product descriptions below.
The MacBook Air is the thinnest and lightest Mac notebook ever. However we do not recommend the MacBook Air as a primary student machine as it does not have an optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and its hard drive capacity is limited. It is a great on the go computer though, for those who have another computer at home. The MacBook Air comes in a 13 inch model, with a sleek unibody aluminum enclosure for lightness and durability.
