Dell Computers
Students
We recommend the Dell Latitude or Dell Studio laptops as they are made with high quality parts and should last you four years at Lewis & Clark.
We offer further consulting for those who are looking to purchase a new PC computer and are available to offer advice based on your personal technological needs and preferences. These are our standard recommended specs for a computer that will last you four years:
Operating system: Windows 7 Home or Professional Edition.
Hard drive: at least 160 GB. We strongly recommend upgrading to 250 GB or larger if you plan to store audio or video files on your computer.
Processor: at least a 2.20 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo. You might also consider the new Intel i3, i5, or i7 models.
RAM: 4 GB .
Plus: CD/DVD drive, 802.11b/g/n wireless card, 3 year warranty.
