Technology Training Options

The Information Technology Division is committed to providing high-quality training and documentation on the software and services we provide to members of the Lewis & Clark Community. There are a number of options available including on-demand video training, helpsheets, and by request classes. Educational Technology also offers workshops on instructional technology topics. Hopefully one of these will fit your needs.

IT provides support at a variety of levels, on a designated list of software. Don’t know what software IT supports? It might be useful to check out IT’s Supported Software List.

Training Options

  • EdTech Workshops: Covering a wide-range of topics, sessions on effective use and best practices for technology used in instruction are offered at various times throughout the semester.
  • Faculty Technology Institute: An annual series of workshops held in May geared toward technology Faculty can use in and out of the classroom.  Individual workshops are designed to meet a variety of interests and levels of expertise.  Each year we bring back popular sessions geared towards every-day technology, working with digital media, and Moodle. We fill the rest of the schedule with sessions on emerging technologies or current hot topics at L&C.
  • By Demand Classes: Educational technologists are available to work with faculty to design custom training for curricular classes or to support research or other instructional needs. Information Technology subject matter experts will work with groups of five or more students, staff or faculty to design training on supported software as time allows. Contact the Service Desk to arrange for a training consultation.
