Professor Michelle Travis

Michelle Travis is an Associate Professor of Law at the University of San Francisco School of Law. Travis received her B.A. in 1991 from Cornell University and her J.D. in 1994 from Stanford Law School, where she was the Executive Editor of the Stanford Law Review. She clerked for the Honorable David M. Ebel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and then practiced employment law at Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe in Palo Alto, California. From 2000-2003 she was on the faculty at Lewis & Clark Law School, where she received the Leo Levenson award for the outstanding professor of the year (2002-03). She has also taught at Stanford Law School and Santa Clara University School of Law. She publishes in the area of employment discrimination, specializing in disability and sex discrimination law.
