Mr. Russell L. Winner

winnerMr. Winner has practiced law in Alaska since 1978 as a trial lawyer in both the federal and state courts. He established Winner & Associates, PC, in Anchorage in 1986. His practice covers a wide range of substantive areas, including public lands law, environmental law, personal injury law, real estate law, commercial law, and intellectual property law. Mr. Winner is active in the Alaska Native law, natural resources/environmental law, and intellectual property law sections of the Alaska Bar Association. He is also active in the Alaska Academy of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Winner has taught constitutional law at the Justice Center at the University of Alaska Anchorage. He has written law review articles in the areas of environmental law and ocean law. He has also taught numerous seminars and continuing legal education courses in the areas of Alaska Native law, public lands, and intellectual property law. Mr. Winner was a fellow at the Law School's Natural Resources Law Institute in 1976-77; and he was an adjunct professor at the Law School in 1977-78, teaching courses in environmental law, federal courts, remedies, and ocean law. He has remained friends with many members of the Law School's faculty from those years. Mr. Winner graduated from Stanford University in 1970 and the University of Chicago Law School in 1975.
