Dr. Ying Chen
Ying Chen practices patent law in Los Angeles. A registered patent attorney, her practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications and counseling clients on issues relating to patent infringement and validity as well as patent portfolio management. Before co-founding Chen Yoshimura LLP in 2005, Ying was a partner at Hogan & Hartson LLP.
Ying earned her J.D. degree from Lewis & Clark Law School in 1995. Prior to her legal career, she earned a Ph.D. degree in biophysics from Cornell University. Her doctoral research work involved the application of various research techniques to the study of protein crystals.
Ying was born and raised in Beijing, China. She graduated from Peking University with a B.S. in physics before moving to the U.S. to pursue her post-graduate educationContact Us
