Client is dry cleaning business owned by an African American male. Initially, we represented the business in lease negotiations with its landlord. Subsequently, we drafted a sublease agreement between Client and sublessors, and also assisted the business owner on obtaining and correcting his credit reports. (Fall 2006, Spring 2007, Summer 2007)

Client is a Internet Café and Laundromat, owned by an African American male and African American female. We researched how to obtain an 8(a) SBA Certificate and various regulatory issues. (Fall 2006)

Client is an online boutique that is owned by a multiethnic male and female. We helped them form an LLC and provided them with information regarding Federal Trademarks. (Fall 2006)

Client is an acoustical supply company owned by an African American male. The owner initially contacted us to review his Articles of Organization, but we ultimately handled several issues for him, including drafting an Operating Agreement, contract review, correcting his personal credit report, and regulatory issues. (Spring 2007)

Client is Salsa Manufacturing business owned by a Hispanic man who, until he met us, was selling salsa as a sole proprietor. Client went through PSU’s Business Outreach Program for business planning and marketing assistance, then came to us to set him up as an LLC. We also did a preliminary trademark search for him---client is doing well, and last we heard, his product was in about 60 stores! (Spring 2007)

Client is a daycare center owned by a Caucasian woman. Client came in seeking guidance on establishing a non-profit organization, but after our consultation, she asked us to set her up as an LLC. Client has sought assistance two more times--once to have a contract drafted for use between her and her clients and again for an employee handbook. The daycare center is doing “very well”—it is booked full, and has a waiting list. (Spring 2007, Summer 2007, Fall 2007)

Client is a coffee shop owned by a Caucasian male. We drafted an Operating Agreement. (Summer 2007)

Client is a commercial and residential cleaning service company owned by an African American woman who has been running the company as a sole proprietor for several years. Client came to us for assistance in setting up an LLC, and to draft a contract between the company and it's commercial clients. (Fall 2007)

Client is a restaurant and lounge owned by two young Caucasian males. We represented the lounge in negotiating their lease, saving them ten percent off their initial site improvements and thousands of dollars in rent. (Fall 2007)

Client is a roof-top garden design and installation company owned by a Caucasian male and female. We researched licensing requirements and regulatory issues. (Fall 2007)

Client is a Caucasian woman who wants to start a company that makes and markets cancer fighting foods. We researched regulatory compliance issues with FDA. (Fall 2007)

Client is a natural pharmacy owned by a Caucasian woman. We helped form an LLC for her practice, reviewed a lease proposal and summarized various regulatory compliance issues. (Spring 2008)

Client is an IT Consulting business owned by a Caucasian male. We researched the Oregon Rules of Professional Responsibility regarding dual representation and we reviewed and revised their Professional Service Agreement and Statements of Work. (Spring 2008)

Client is a quilting supply store that is owned by an African American female who has been running the business as a sole proprietor for several years. We helped form an LLC and made sure the business was in compliance with regulatory issues. (Spring 2008)
