Meredith Weisshaar, Associate, Perkins Coie

Meredith Weisshaar received the SBLC's second annual Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award. Meredith stood out over 75 attorneys who provided pro bono assistance to clients through the SBLC’s. Some of that assistance was meeting directly with clients through our Pro Bono Project. Others were guest speakers at our class, and others were what I call “lifelines” to students—experts in their fields who have agreed to assist students on some of the more complicated legal issues. Meredith volunteered at FIVE Pro Bono Projects, and represented eight pro bono clients. She stepped up when we were in a pinch, and is always a quick phone call away! She is a trailblazer for the SBLC and its clients. Meredith is an associate in Perkins Coie's business group and focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing and corporate governance for public and private companies. She has also authored articles relevant to recent securities law developments. In addition to volunteering at the SBLC, she also is an Ad Hoc Board Member at Cafe au Play.
