About the Writing Process
Many writers identify “getting started” as one of the hardest steps to take. Are you aware of your own composing process? What’s easy for you? What’s hard? Understanding how you go about your work and making adjustments as necessary can result in less hair pulling and wasted time. Here are the general steps in the writing process.
Warning: Hazardous Homophones Ahead
Do you know the difference between site/sight/cite, effect/affect, adverse/averse? English has a number of words that sound the same (or nearly the same) but are spelled differently and have different meanings. The spell check on your computer won't tell you that you've mixed them up, but the Grammar Witch will.
Therapy for Pronoun Anxiety
Do you use it's or its? who's or whose? your or you're? who or whom? me or I? Let the Grammar Witch help you untangle those troublesome pronouns!
