James E. Mountain, Jr. (OLI Past President) is a Shareholder of Harrang Long Gary Rudnick P.C. in Portland, where he specializes in appellate, regulatory, and administrative law. He received his B.A. from University of Oregon and his J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. District Court of Oregon and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He formerly acted as Oregon’s Solicitor General, Special Counsel to the Attorney General, and Deputy Attorney General. He is a former member of the OSB Board of Bar Examiners and CLE Committee member. He is also the past president of the Marion County Bar Association.
