Registration Preparation

To determine the best possible schedule for 2009-2010, you need to study course descriptions, curriculum planning guides and schedule information. Guidelines for determining your priority classes are also critical. To get started with your schedule plans see the Registration Instructions and Priority Planning

On-Line Registration

It is important that you carefully read the Registration Instructions Using WebAdvisor. Do this soon! Don’t wait until your registration appointment time.

Registration Appointment Times

Registration appointment times are assigned for each day of registration. These times for each registration day per semester are found on WebAdvisor under “My Registration Permissions” on the Student Menu page (under the Registration header). Since students are expected to register for both fall and spring semester when registering each day, the time assignments are the same for both semesters on that day.

NOTE: Appointment times for all Evening-only students will be May 31 (all fall and spring registration to be done at that time) 6pm - midnight. The next opportunity to register will be June 3, 6:00pm and later.

If you cannot make your appointment time and need someone to register for you, please contact the Registrar’s office, lawreg@lclark.edu or 503-768-6614 for instructions

Registration Days

Evening-only students will be allowed to register for all fall and spring classes on Sunday, May 31 from 6pm to midnight. To qualify students must have advised the Registrar’s office that they have always been and will continue to be an evening division student on the 4-year degree program and that they will be taking only evening classes (classes beginning 4:00pm or later). Failure to comply may be considered an Honor Code violation. If you do not register on May 31, your next opportunity will be June 3 at 6pm and later.

If you cannot register on May 31, contact the Registrar’s office to do it for you.

Students who are fulltime or do not qualify for the evening-only classification will register on June 1, 2 and 3. June 1st is Priority Registration Day I and June 2nd is Priority Registration Day II. On each Priority Registration Day students will be allowed to register for one class for fall and one class for spring at his/her appointed time of registration. At the end of Priority Registration Day II each student should have a total of 2 classes for fall and 2 for spring.

On June 3, students will again register at his/her appointed time and complete his/her registration for fall and spring. After June 3, students can add and drop classes for both semesters through August 30. See the Registration Dates to Remember (pdf) for the registration time lines for both semesters.

Note: On Priority Days I & II students will be allowed to registered for courses requiring co or pre-requisites without prior registration of the requisite. However, you are obligated to sign up for the necessary co/pre-requisites when you complete your registration on June 3rd.

If you cannot register at your appointed time, contact the Registrar’s office for assistance, lawreg@lclark.edu.
