Council Chamber - Templeton Campus Center

Professor Fruehauf will explore ancient symbolism,
star lore, and mythology to introduce the alchemical
method of holistic thinking that shaped most
ancient wisdom traditions, including Chinese
medicine. This mode of thinking tends not to be
accessed in modern intellectual training. Much of
the diagnostic and clincal intricacies of Chinese
medicine, on the other hand, involve the process
of reading and extracting concrete meaning from
symbolic modes of transmission.
