Join the Lewis & Clark Bookstore Monday, June 17 from 12-1p.m. to celebrate the release of Gladys, An American Story: 1934-46, the latest book by Instructor of Academic English Studies Mary Brooks.
The book is a collection of letters between the young protagonist, Gladys, and her family during the New Deal era. Over the years, Gladys explores, studies, and plays an important role in the rebuilding of America as she leaves her home on the farm, attends college, and earns a job as a teacher. Brooks has written a story that is a testament to the hard-working and idealistic people that propelled to resilience a nation marked by hardship.
Light refreshments will be served during this event.
