FEB 4th Deadline for Student Health Insurance Changes

Message to Undergraduate and Law Students

DEADLINE FOR CHANGES IN STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE IS FEBRUARY 4

If you have waived the Aetna insurance in the fall and you still have comparable insurance coverage, you do not need to do anything.

If you had Aetna Student Health Insurance in the fall and have become eligible for new health insurance plan under the Affordable Care Act, and these plans meet the college’s comparability criteria, you may request a waiver out of the Aetna plan for spring.  Please complete a Paper Insurance Waiver, and return it to Student and Departmental Accounts before February 4th.  If you do not waive by February 4, your account will be charged $958 for student health insurance that runs from January 1 to August 14.

If you had comparable health insurance in the fall, had a waiver on file and have now lost that coverage or if it is no longer comparable, you can rescind that waiver and be added to the Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan.  You need to complete the Rescind Waiver Form, submit written confirmation of your loss of coverage from your previous carrier, and return it to the Student and Departmental Account Services (accountservices@lclark.edu) by February 4th and make a payment of $958.
