Sufi Dances of Universal Peace
Date: 6:00pm PST February 25 Location: Gregg Pavilion
Join the Interfaith Council for an evening of guided Sufi circle dance accompanied by live musicians. Dance leader and instructor Qadr will teach very simple energy and consciousness raising circle dances, also known as Sufi Dance, which blend simple folk-style dancing with words and themes from the world’s spiritual traditions.
Although rooted in the Sufi tradition, these dances promote an interfaith experience that focuses on both inner and world peace.
No dance experience is needed. The evening will begin with a short introduction to this form of interfaith devotional practice.
