Post-Polarized: How the Liberal Mayor and Evangelical Leader Teamed up to Serve the City of Portland is a dialogue between former Portland Mayor Sam Adams (a gay liberal) and Evangelical Christian leader Kevin Palau. They will discuss how they became “post-polarized” in order to serve the city of Portland and get some very important community action and clean-up work done together.
Sam and Kevin have shared their story of post-polarized collaboration with leaders in New York City and in other major U.S. cities, and their example is making a difference in other cities now. Come listen to this remarkable account of moving beyond their potentially polarizing differences in order to accomplish a greater good for our city and beyond.
Admission is free. Location is the Council Chamber in Templeton Campus Center. Sponsored by the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life.
