Pilobolus sprang from a Dartmouth College dance class in 1971 with a clear desire to make something new. Thirty-three years later, this highly unusual company of 6 dancers, led by four artistic directors, continues to create movement that is world-acclaimed for its startling mix of humor and invention. Making their triumphant White Bird debut in Spring 2002, the Piloboli will return with a multi-faceted program that features dance, acrobatics, theatre and even mime. These are truly visionary artists whose work “explodes with imagination and originality” (The Montreal Star).
