The Truth About Suicide
Date: January 26 2012 7:00pm Location: Gregg Pavilion - Gregg Pavilion
THE TRUTH ABOUT SUICIDE: Counseling staff will host a program titled The Truth About Suicide: Real Stories of Depression in College this Thursday, January 26 at 7 p.m. in the Gregg Pavilion. The program will include a video that portrays the stories of real college students who have faced depression and suicidal thoughts. The video helps us understand the phenomenon of college student suicide and what we can all do to reduce the risk of suicide in those we care about. After the video, our very own suicidologist (that’s a professional who specialized in suicide), Dr. John Hancock, will be available to listen to students’ reactions, field questions and facilitate discussion.
