This workshop will provide K-12 teachers with simple time-tested tricks t hat set the stage for creative problem solving in their classrooms. The p ractices taught here bring together the fields of writing\, art\, music a nd movement\, creating the conditions for innovation and revelation in le arners young and old. Participants will:Get comfortable juggling various artistic disciplines and explore the creative potential of combining the m. Be trained to lead a K-12 classroom in six creative exercises involvi ng writing/drawing\, movement/dance/tableau\, and sound making/sound inte rpreting. Receive materials and explanations of ten additional exercises with similar designs. Design their own creative exercises that involve the combination or hybridization of at least three art forms.
