Bishop Opera Workshop will pr esent Mozart's version of the "Marriage of Figaro" that is being staged i n the theatre two weeks earlier as the original Beaumarchais play. The ma rriage of Figaro actually is the marriage of Susanna who\, determined not to be a victim of the Count's lecherous intentions\, plots her own plan for revenge with the help of Figaro\, the Countess and friends. All the f amiliar duets and solos will be sung by LC students. In the second half o f the concert\, there will be selections from musicals that also deal wit h the subject of villains\, victims\, and the possibility of victory of r ight over wrong. Solos and duets from Sondheim's "Marry Me a Little"\, "S weeney Todd"\, "Into the Woods"\, plus \;other songs will be shared. \;This event is FREE to Lewis &\; Clark students\, $5 for Lewis & amp\; Clark Faculty/Alumni &\; Seniors and $10 for the general communi ty. He believe d that opera should be acted as well as sung and founded the Opera Worksh op.
