2011 College of Arts and Sciences Commencement

New York Times columnist and author Timothy Egan will speak at the 2011 Lewis & Clark College of Arts and Sciences Commencement. Egan has covered the Exxon Valdez oil spill, the collapse of small-town America in the Great Plains, and the O.J. Simpson trial throughout his career at the New York Times. He shares a 2001 Pulitzer Prize for a Times series analyzing the impact of the prism of race in American life. He is also the author of six books.

This year marks the 139th commencement ceremony at Lewis & Clark College.

When: May 8, 10 a.m.
Where:
Pamplin Sports Center, with a simulcast in Agnes Flanagan Chapel. Commencement will also be webcast live. To view the webcast, please go to the College’s homepage at www.lclark.edu and follow the link. The live webcast will begin at 9:45 a.m. and concludes with the recessional about 12:15 p.m.
