College hosts League of Minority Voters Civil Rights Dinner 10/19—all invited
October 03, 2011
Lewis & Clark is hosting the second-annual Civil Rights Dinner and Forum of the Oregon League of Minority Voters, taking place 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19, in Stamm Dining Hall. All members of the campus community are invited—but interested people must RSVP by contacting Michelle Van Orsow in Public Affairs and Communications at mvo@lclark.edu. Please RSVP no later than Friday, Oct. 14.
Space is limited, and reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
The College and Bon Appetit are co-sponsors of the event, which will include remarks by leaders of communities of color in the Portland region and a posthumous civil rights award to the late Senator Mark Hatfield.
The league is a non-partisan and non-profit organization founded to promote a broader understanding of the issues that uniquely impact people of color and minorities with a mission to re-engage majority involvement in civil-rights causes.
If you have any questions, please contact Associate Vice President for Public Affairs and Communications Tom Krattenmaker, tkratt@lclark.edu.
