On the Road Again

When spring arrives, the Alumni and Parent Programs staff take to the road. During the first four months of 2007, Lewis & Clark hosted events for more than 500 undergraduate alumni in seven cities across the United States: San Francisco, New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Denver, Honolulu, and Minneapolis.

When spring arrives, the Alumni and Parent Programs staff take to the road. During the first four months of 2007, Lewis & Clark hosted events for more than 500 undergraduate alumni in seven cities across the United States: San Francisco, New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Denver, Honolulu, and Minneapolis.

Alumni enjoyed a rich variety of program options, from the screening of an Imax film in Los Angeles, to a tour of the Denver Art Museum in the Rockies, to a Shakespeare play in Minneapolis. Featured alumni speakers included U.S. Rep. Earl Blumenauer BA ‘70, JD ‘76; Mike Lutz BA ‘85, head of distribution at MacGillivray Freeman Films; and Lewis Sharp BA ‘65, director of the Denver Art Museum (see also page 8). Speakers from the College included Tom Hochstettler, president; Lyell Asher, associate professor of English; and Cyrus Partovi BA’67, senior lecturer in social sciences.
