On the Road Again
When spring arrives, the Alumni and Parent Programs staff take to the road. During the first four months of 2007, Lewis & Clark hosted events for more than 500 undergraduate alumni in seven cities across the United States: San Francisco, New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Denver, Honolulu, and Minneapolis.
Alumni enjoyed a rich variety of program options, from the screening of an Imax film in Los Angeles, to a tour of the Denver Art Museum in the Rockies, to a Shakespeare play in Minneapolis. Featured alumni speakers included U.S. Rep. Earl Blumenauer BA ‘70, JD ‘76; Mike Lutz BA ‘85, head of distribution at MacGillivray Freeman Films; and Lewis Sharp BA ‘65, director of the Denver Art Museum (see also page 8). Speakers from the College included Tom Hochstettler, president; Lyell Asher, associate professor of English; and Cyrus Partovi BA’67, senior lecturer in social sciences.
