Phyllis Speros Holliday B.S. lives in San Francisco. She is a fantasy novelist and mystical poet.
Thomas Sherwood B.A. asks if the hair on the back of your neck perks up at the mention of “Riser crew!” If you were on the Lewis & Clark Choir riser crew, that call meant stopping whatever you were doing (eating, visiting, sleeping, etc.) to work on the choir riser. Perhaps you were in a Glarum choir and remember its organ like tone. A few years ago, Sherwood was at an Oregon beach with Don Udlock B.A. and other friends. They sang a benediction after a meal and were instantly transported to choir days at L&C. Sherwood says, “Perhaps some of us can meet and sing together again.”
