Important notice about payroll distribution

Dear LC employees:
I am writing to inform you that the College has elected to convert to a paperless payroll process effective January 1, 2012 for all faculty and staff. We will be mailing all paper checks and paper payroll advices for persons that choose to “opt out”.
The driving forces behind such a decision include considerable cost reduction to the College, protection of our natural resources through reduced paper consumption, and adherence to the College’s commitment to sustainability.
We have developed a series of different communication strategies in hopes to get the message out to all employees.
The required action for each employee is as follows:
- Most faculty and staff needn’t take any action to successfully access pay statements via WebAdvisor.
- Those employees who choose to Opt Out of paperless pay advices must complete and submit an Opt Out Form as found on the Human Resources Webpages of the LC Website.They must do this even if they have elected paper in the past.
- Employees who have chosen to continue receiving paper, be it checks or advices, should check the address currently being printed on their check or advice to insure that they will be mailed to the correct address. If an address update is warranted, they may complete a Change of Address Form as found on the Human Resources Webpages of the LC Website.
