Join us for a performance of Café Baghdad - 1/25
January 18, 2012
Friends:
I would like to take this opportunity to invite members of the Lewis & Clark community to attend a staged reading performance of Sacha Reich’s new adaptation of Café Baghdad presented by Portland’s Jewish Theatre Collaborative.
The presentation will take place on Wednesday, January 25 at 7pm in Albany Quadrangle’s Smith Hall. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased through the Jewish Theatre Collaborative website and are available at the door. Students attend free!
The presentation is a part of Portland’s Fertile Ground Festival of New Work and is a JTC collaboration with the Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies & The Middle East Studies Center at PSU, Lewis & Clark Office of Student Activities, Congregation Ahavath Achim, and the Sephardic Cultural Center of Oregon.
The featured guest speaker after the presentation is Lewis & Clark’s own Dr. Oren Kosansky, Associate Professor of Sociology and Anthropology.
You can find additional information about Café Baghdad here.
