Summer 2012 Loan Processing for Graduate Students

1. Complete the Financial Aid Response Form for Grad Students
2. You will create a Lewis & Clark email here (if you do not already have one).
3. A message will be sent to your Lewis & Clark email address after you submitted the Response Form, about all the required steps to be completed for each type of aid you accepted.

Federal Perkins Loan

• You will receive an email from SignMyLoan.com with instructions on how to complete the loan processing steps.
• Failure to complete these required steps in a timely manner may result in the cancellation of your Perkins Loan.

Federal Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loan

• If you have processed and received Sub/Unsub Loans at LC previously, there is no further action required from you.
• If this is your first time borrowing a Direct Loan at LC, you must:
• • Go to StudentLoans.gov and sign in.
  • Complete the Entrance Interview & sign the Master Promissory Note (MPN)

Federal Direct Grad Plus

• Go to StudentLoans.gov and sign in.
• Request a PLUS Loan
• And sign a Master Promissory Note (MPN).
• • Please allow 10-15 business days for processing time
  • Please note that if you need a refund check available to you in your first day of classes of summer session 2012, complete all loan processing steps by:
  • • April 23 if you start on May 7
    • June 11 if you start on June 25

Loans disbursed on or after July 1, 2012 will have a higher processing fee of 1% compared to the 0.5% fee prior to July 1^st.
