Join the summer reading group featuring “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” by Dr. Lisa Randall

April 16, 2012

Dear L&C Community,

The 2012 Science Without Limits Symposium Organizing Committee has an exciting announcement for the upcoming symposium in September.

Dr. Lisa Randall, Harvard physics professor whose work has made her among the most cited and influential theoretical physicists of today has been confirmed as our keynote speaker for the symposium.

Beyond her many achievements as a scientist, she is also the best selling author of “Warped Passages” and recently published a new book “Knocking on Heaven’s Door:  How Physics and Scientific Thinking Illuminate the Universe and the Modern World”.

In light of her upcoming visit, we would like to invite you to join our Summer Reading Group to discuss her new book’s premises on the latest developments in physics and their potential to radically revise our understanding of the universe.

For more details and schedules for the Summer Reading Group, please visit our site:  go.lclark.edu/swl or contact Anne Jourdan at jourdan@lclark.edu. AND you can now purchase “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” at the L&C bookstore with a 40% discount off the listed price for L&C Faculty and students.

Sincerely,
Naiomi Cameron and Anne Bentley
