Susanna Morrill, associate professor of religious studies, has been awarded a second fellowship in support of her project, “Protestant Women’s Birth and Death rituals, 1780-1920.”

The Robert L. Platzman Memorial Fellowship provides a $2,000 stipend for visiting researchers to the University of Chicago library and will allow Morrill access to the Special Collections Research Center, which includes rare books, archives, original sources, and manuscript collections.

This spring, Morrill received a Huntington Fellowship. These two short-term fellowships will allow her to conduct extended archival research on her project.
