Michel George is currently Associate Vice President for Facilities at Lewis & Clark College. Michel has more than 30 years of experience in higher education facilities operation, construction, and planning as well as supervision of Public Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Food Service, Conference and Events, Sustainability, Real Estate and Purchasing. Prior to moving to Lewis & Clark he was the Associate Vice President for Campus Planning and AuxiliaryServices at Champlain College, and has worked at Seattle University, The Evergreen State College, University of Chicago, Amherst College, Smith College. In addition to presenting at numerous APPA, SCUP, and AASHE Conferences, he has participated in numerous panels as well as Washington Legislative bodies. Michel’s emphasis over his career has been in developing high performance organizations, sustainable operations and construction, and adaptive reuse of historic structures.
