Beginnings of an LC Trail

Grounds Staff has plans to clear out the overgrown, forested area between the Glade and Flanagan Chapel and create a Lewis & Clark trail in its place. “[Thursday] was our first day, so it was really about hacking a way into the forest to see what we have. We didn’t get too far as the foliage is pretty dense, so we focused primarily on removing invasive plants that we don’t want in there,” said Gabe Bishop, Grounds Supervisor. Invasive plants that were removed include Holly, Laurel, Blackberry and English ivy. Plans for the trail itself are still in the works. Stay posted!
