L&C Overseas Students Meet in St. Petersburg
September 27, 2012
Early in September 2012 Lewis & Clark overseas students met with their Russian Professor Tatiana Osipovich in St. Petersburg. They were joined by a recent graduate Danya Spencer who was returning from her year-long internship at the Irkustk State Linguistic University.
On the photo below (from left to right) – Prof. Osipovich, Danya Spencer (‘11), and five LC current students Tadhg Fend, David Salkowski, Christian Dicker, Ana Frigo, Vicky Radenkova (all of them are participants of the St. Pete study abroad program this fall). Also in St. Petersburg at this time are our two alums: Cathrine Magelssen (’03), who is Head of the Visa Department at the Consulate of Norway in St. Pete, and Nate Jones (’05) who works for the National Security Archive in Washington, DC, but is currently on assignment in St. Petersburg conducting research at the Freedom of Information Foundation. This large St Petersburg group of LC transplants is not complete without our three students who are currently studying in the Russian Far Eastern city of Vladivostok - Dylan Clifford, Megan Dwyer, Ithaca Sorensen.
Here are blogs of students who reflect on their overseas experience:
