1950

Don Driscoll ’50 and Eva Drum Driscoll ’50 celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June. Since moving to the Washington, D.C., area in 1977, they have attended every nearby alumni-sponsored function. Don worked for the U.S. Forest Service for 36 years.

1954

Bettie Mitchell ’54 has been married to Gerald “Jerry” Mitchell for 50 years. She was a substitute teacher in the Beaverton schools for 20 years and then founded Good Samaritan Ministries, a nonprofit Christian counseling and training organization, now located in 25 countries. They have three children and nine grandchildren.

1955

Robert Christopher ’55 has been a member of the Levee Singers since 1961. The group was a headliner for the Jazz Banjo Festival in Guthrie, Oklahoma, which attracted more than 500 banjo players over Memorial Day weekend.

Ruth Gregerson Tyler ’55 coordinated the 50th anniversary celebration of the founding of Delta Phi Gamma Sorority at the College in May.

1958

Douglas Campbell ’58 and Ellen Krytzer Campbell ’58 are both retired. Doug chairs the Canadian Committee on Ministry for the Unitarian Universalist Association. Ellen is vice president of the International Association for Religious Freedom. Their daughter is married and has two children. Their son will marry in Japan.
