Project selected for ‘Ten Shades of Green’

The Paul L. Boley Law Library construction project was selected as one of 10 buildings in the Northwest that exemplify “the latest and best in sustainable practices and technologies.”

The City of Portland Office of Sustainable Development, in partnership with the Portland Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, chose 10 regional projects to include in the Architectural League of New York’s “Ten Shades of Green” exhibition in September.

The museum-quality exhibition included 10 European and North American buildings “that reflect the diversity of techniques and styles possible in green design.”

The exhibition celebrated the grand opening of the Jean Vollum Natural Capital Center at Northwest 10th and Irving.

Soderstrom Architects designed the project, which involves renovating 25,000 square feet and constructing an additional 40,000 square feet.

Jon Wiener is principal architect and Eric Wilcox is project architect.

The new addition will be complete by November. This is the first new construction on the law school campus since 1978.
