New Books by Jim Proctor
Director and Professor of Environmental Studies, Dr. Jim Proctor, has recently published two new books:
Envisioning Nature, Science, and Religion: A collection of 16 essays which examine and compare different aspects of five central metaphors or “visions” of biophysical and human nature.
New Visions of Nature: Complexity and Authenticity: An exploration of the perceptual and conceptual boundaries between the human and the natural, or between an ‘out there’ and ‘in here.’ How has nature has been publicly and genomically constructed, known and described through metaphors and re-envisioned in terms of landscape and place?
