Rhetoric and Media Studies Colloquium Series, Mar. 18

As part of the Rhetoric and Media Studies Colloquium Series, Kevin Sandler will give a talk titled Product Integration on Primetime TV: Apple and Modern Family on March 18, at 7:30 p.m. in JR Howard Hall, room 254.

Kevin Sandler is an Associate Professor at Arizona State University and Director of Internships in the Film and Media Studies Program. He specializes in the contemporary U. S. media business, with a particular focus on censorship, convergence, and animation.

He is the author of The Naked Truth: Why Hollywood Doesn’t Make X-Rated Movies (Rutgers, 2007), the co-editor of Titanic: Anatomy of a Blockbuster (Rutgers, 1999), and editor of Reading the Rabbit: Explorations in Warner Bros. Animation (Rutgers 1998). His upcoming books include Animation, Conglomeration, Convergence (Duke) and The Shield (California). He also has published in a wide number of anthologies and journals including Cinema Journal, Animation Journal, and The Velvet Light Trap.
