Lewis & Clark community members now have the opportunity to pre-pay for weekly organic produce delivered to campus

Lewis & Clark community members now have the opportunity to pre-pay for weekly organic produce delivered right here to campus! Spring and summer deliveries will begin in May.

Community supported agriculture (CSA) is a program where farmers offer a certain number of “shares” of their crop to the public. Typically the share consists of a box of vegetables, but other farm products may be included (like honey and flowers!). Interested consumers purchase a share (aka a “membership” or a “subscription”) and in return receive a box of seasonal produce throughout the farming season.

L&C faculty, staff and students may purchase a share from Grow Portland who deliver to campus each week.

To sign-up or get more information please visit the Grow Portland website. Pick up site and time will be provided once you register.

About Grow Portland:

All of our produce is grown within 25 miles of downtown Portland. Most of our farmers grow in SE Portland along Johnson Creek, and east of the city in Damascus, Oregon. We also help distribute crops of several beginning American farmers in the metro area.
We use only natural and organic growing practices. This means that we use no synthetic or harmful pesticides, herbicides or fungicides. We use compost and cover crops to build the soil. These natural practices enhance our environment, health, and the flavor of our vegetables.
