Natalia Yegorova ’06 is currently Institutional Affairs Counsel at the World Bank Group, the largest international development organization in the world. In addition to covering internal HR issues for the World Bank, she represents the World Bank before the World Bank Administrative Tribunal and negotiates with foreign governments over diplomatic issues. Before joining the World Bank Group, Natalia worked as an associate at the law firm of Black Helterline, in Portland, where she practiced corporate and tax law.

Natalia came to the United States from Latvia to attend college. Her experiences as an international student and her focus on international issues as an undergraduate made her keen to pursue a career in global law. “I loved the international law classes that I took,” Natalia recalls. “If you are interested in international law, Lewis & Clark coursework provides an excellent springboard into finding a career in the field. In my case, I found Public International Law particularly helpful as I started my career at the World Bank. Many of my courses, however, offered rich practical experiences and personal attention, which I really appreciated.”
