Electric Vehicle Charging is here!

First EV station recently installed on campus

Lewis & Clark is now a member of the electric vehicle (EV) charging community! As part of the Holmes Hall suite of green building initiatives, this station is the first on campus and will provide valuable information on EV charging station demand, function and location. The station is a simple ‘plug and play’ model and is free to the Lewis & Clark community. Linda Griffin, Program Director at the Graduate School, completed the inaugural charge last week. She is one of three known EV owners on campus and more are expected as vehicle prices drop.

“Having an EV charging station available on campus is a great benefit for me. In my work with the Graduate School, I often travel quite a bit in my Nissan Leaf to visit elementary schools in the metro area. Having a charging station right here will allow me much more flexibility! I am very pleased that Lewis & Clark is making it easier for drivers to consider greener transportation options.” -Linda Griffin
