Audition to sing in Choir!
September 02, 2013
If you sang in a Lewis & Clark Choir last year and don’t plan to switch choirs, you do not need to re-audition. Otherwise, all new students and returning students who wish to be considered for a different choir need to sign-up for a 10-minute audition.
Auditions are painless; you’ll sing scales and do some ear-training exercises with Kathy FitzGibbon in her office (Evans 125), but you don’t have to prepare anything. It would be helpful if you’d bring your class schedule to your audition time and come knowing which of the three choirs fit into your schedule:
Cappella Nova (selected mixed choir, Monday 3-4:30/Thursday 3:30-5)
Women’s Chorus (select women’s ensemble, Tuesday/Thursday 5-6:30)
Community Chorale (larger mixed choir for entire L&C community, Tuesday evenings 7-9:30, with maximum 2 Saturday morning retreats)
Times are posted on the wall outside of Evans 125, or you can email Kathy FitzGibbon (firstname.lastname@example.org) to set up a different time.
Note about Callbacks: If you are interested in one of our select ensembles, you may be asked to attend a callback audition on Sunday, September 8th, 2013.
