Lewis & Clark renovates Fields Dining Hall, the largest dining facility on campus.

When students returned to campus last fall, they discovered dramatic changes to Fields Dining Hall, the primary option for food service on campus. Over the summer months, Holst Architecture and R&H Construction executed a major renovation, adding a variety of seating options, multimedia equipment, an expanded and redefined food service area, new lighting and furnishings—and even a “green” roof over the bookstore, planted with sedum to help control storm water.

The renovation is proving popular with students, faculty, and staff—as well as families on admissions visits and conference attendees. At its essence, Fields is a welcoming space designed to enhance community at Lewis & Clark. Photos © John Partee 2013
