Lewis & Clark is Bringing Home Top Awards in Moot Court Competitions

Law students have been bringing home top awards in Moot Court competitions.

Law students have been bringing home top awards in Moot Court competitions around the US.  Recent awards have come from the National Animal Law Competitions, ABA National Negotiation Competition, the Jessup Mid-Atlantic Regional and the ABA Regional Client Counseling Competition.

In the National Animal Law Competitions, Meg York won the Closing Argument Competition and the Legislative Drafting and Lobbying Competition for Best Bill and Fact Sheet.  Teammates Andrea Lang and Jake Brooks advanced to the final round in the Appellate Moot Court Competition for Best Oralist and Best Brief, but lost to a returning team from UC Irvine.

Nathan Morales and Matthew Ring, won the title of National Champions at the ABA National Negotiation Competition.

The Jessup Team, comprised of Shane Barnes, Tristan Parker, Brendan Stabeno, Ali Ward and Spencer Wilson, were semi-finalists in the Mid-Atlantic Regional team competition and won the Fourth Best Brief prize.  Shane Barnes won Third Place Oralist and received a perfect score of 100 from one of his judges and Brendan Stabeno won Eighth Place Oralist.

Also, at the ABA Regional Client Counseling Competition Ron Cheng and teammate Bridgett Shephard took home first place and are competing in The Nationals this March in Norman, Oklahoma.
