We recognize three alumni for their contributions to the field.

October 3, 2013

The law school recognized three alumni for their work with the Distinguished Environmental Law Graduate Award: Janice Schneider ’92, partner at Latham & Watkins in Washington, D.C.; Cliff Villa ’93, assistant regional counsel, U.S. EPA Region 10, in Seattle; and Chuck Bonham ’00, director of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife in Sacramento.

The award, started in 1995 in honor of the Environmental Law Program’s 25th anniversary, recognizes alumni who have made a significant contribution to the environmental and natural resources law or policy fields.

The Environmental Alumni Association also presented Liv Brumfield ’13 with the 2013 Williamson Award. The award, named for the late Professor Emeritus Bill Williamson and funded by the Environmental Alumni Association, honors a recent graduate of the environmental and natural resources law program dedicated to the pursuit of public interest environmental law.
