In October, the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Program will welcome its 24th annual Natural Resources Law Institute Distinguished Visitor: Jodi Freeman, Archibald Cox Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. The NRLI Distinguished Visitor is invited to spend three days on campus attending classes and meeting students.

While the NRLI Distinguished Visitor is on campus, the Law School will honor three environmental law alumni for their significant contributions to the environmental or natural resources law or policy fields:
Janis Searles Jones ’95, vice president of Conservation Programs at Oregon Conservancy
Gary Meyers ’82, professor at the University of Tasmania Faculty of Law
Reuben Plantico ’78, director of environmental and sustainability Policy at Portland General Electric
Following the awards ceremony, at approximately 5:30 p.m., NRLI Distinguished Visitor Jodi Freeman will deliver a public lecture.
