Computer AntiVirus policy enforced for LC Secure wireless and residence halls
August 13, 2014
Beginning August 19, 2014, Lewis & Clark’s network access control policy regarding antivirus software will be enforced for all users accessing the Lewis & Clark network through LC Secure wireless or physically connected to residence hall Ethernet jacks.
This policy will be enforced using the SafeConnect infrastructure. Computers which are out of compliance will be redirected to a web page with detailed instructions on how to resolve the out-of-compliance issues.
In order to give our community time to adapt, for Fall Semester 2014, computers which are out of compliance will receive regular warnings to update their antivirus software. However, beginning Spring Semester 2015, computers which are out of compliance will be quarantined, unable to access the internet, until the antivirus policy is satisfied.
