Fluent English speakers needed!

Volunteer to be paired with (an) international student(s) and meet with them bi-weekly to help improve their English while bonding with people from all over the world!

Volunteer to be a Conversation Partner and get to know Intl. Students!
Meet International Students from all over the world and help them learn English!

Details about the Program:
The conversation group is a collaboration between the TCK group and the Academic English Studies (AES) Department. International students studying in the AES program meet with student volunteers (anybody who is fluent in English) to talk about topics of mutual interest. The groups help international students make U.S. friends and practice their English while the U.S. students learn cross-cultural skills. We are looking for U.S students and international students that want to meet new people and practice their conversation skills.

What being a conversation Partner entails:
Once a week or every other week, meet and spend time with international student(s), one-on-one or in a group setting (e.g. having lunch together, going out to a movie etc.) No formal experience necessary!

Please e-mail Ugyen Lhamo (TCK Intern) at  tck@lclark.edu to get involved.
