Professor George Foster and Chris Helmer ’74 presented to a group of Oregon lawyers about how to handle some of the most common issues that arise in international civil litigation in the United States.

On February 17, 2015, Professor George Foster and Chris Helmer ’74, of Miller Nash Graham & Dunn, presented to a group of Oregon lawyers about how to handle some of the most common issues that arise in international civil litigation in the United States. Among the topics they addressed were personal jurisdiction, sovereign immunity, forum non conveniens, anti-suit injunctions, extraterritorial discovery, enforcement of arbitration agreements and awards, and enforcement of foreign judgments.
